ABOUT THE KISHA UMBRELLA

Q: What is the Kisha Umbrella?

A: Kisha Umbrella is a unique product that consists of an umbrella with a BluetoothTM chip connected to your smartphone. It means you’ll never forget your umbrella in a public place such as a restaurant, a pub, a meeting or a conference by constantly keeping the connection between your smartphone and your umbrella “alive”. Once the connection is lost, you’ll get a notification on your smartphone.

Q: What are the physical characteristics of the Kisha Umbrella?

A: Kisha Umbrella is 100% windproof, 100% corrosion-proof, contains 16 polyurethane ribs, has a perfect stitching, and a perfect opening and closing mechanism. We’d like to think that it’s the last umbrella you’ll ever buy.

Q: How long does the battery last?

A: The battery lasts for 12 months. After that you can replace the battery inside the beacon.

Q: How do I change the battery?

A: On the umbrella there’s a zipper that opens a pocket for the BluetoothTM chip that comes with the umbrella. The chip is coded to match our Kisha mobile application.

Q: Do you offer a warranty on the product?

A: Yes, we offer a 1-year warranty on the mechanical parts and stitches. 

Q: What if I bought a Kisha Umbrella from a third party (retailers, other online stores)?

A: You are still eligible for our 1-year warranty. Also, you can download our mobile application for free.

Q: Where is the Kisha Umbrella produced?

A: Parts of the Kisha Umbrella are produced in China (BluetoothTM chip, mechanical parts) and the final product is assembled in the European Union.

Q: What if I lose my Kisha Umbrella?

A: Even with this fantastic technology we cannot solve all the possible causes of losing one’s umbrella. Keep in mind that if your smartphone is turned off, you cannot receive any notifications. At such times we suggest you still try to remember to take your Kisha Umbrella with you.

ORDERING YOUR KISHA UMBRELLA

Q: What information do I need to provide when ordering my Kisha Umbrella?

A: You will need to provide your credit card number, shipping address and quantity.

Q: Are payments through your website safe?

A: Yes, we use the Stripe (www.stripe.com) payment processor and never store your credit card information. Besides that our website is protected by the 128-bit encryption (SSL)

Q: How much is the shipping cost?

A: Free shipping for all orders above $100. For all orders under $100, we charge a flat fee of $10.

Q: How do you ship your items?

A: We ship your Kisha Umbrella via regular mail. You can expect it to be delivered once we send you the email with the shipping details.

Q: Who is responsible for the payment of import duty and VAT?

A: In general, import duty is a tax that the importer has to pay to bring foreign goods into his or her country. Import VAT (Value Added Tax) is a tax charged on imported goods and services. Duty and VAT are calculated as a percentage of the value of the imported goods, consisting of the product value and the freight & insurance costs.

Duty is not paid on consignments shipped within the EU.

The recipient of the goods is responsible for the payment of duties and taxes. In most cases the courier will not release the shipment to the recipient until their charges and any taxes due have been collected.

Q: How can I get the Kisha mobile application?

A: The Kisha mobile application is available on iOS devices and Android devices.

Q: Is my phone compatible?

A: Please check your phone compatibility before purchase.

Requires iOS 8.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

In order to run the Kisha app on Android, your device will need both of the following:

Android 4.4 or higher (KitKat or Lollipop)

Q: How much does the Kisha mobile application cost?

A: It’s free of charge.

Q: Do you plan to offer a Windows Mobile application?

A: We are still considering building a Windows Mobile application.

Q: What are the features of the Kisha mobile application?

A: The Kisha mobile application connects to the chip built into the Kisha Umbrella and notifies you in case you leave your Kisha Umbrella at any public spot. In addition to that, the app has a built-in weather forecast and it notifies you of weather conditions.

Q: Do I need to sign up?

A: No. You can sign up and receive timely updates on the product.

Q: Can I connect multiple Kisha Umbrellas to the mobile app?

A: Not at the moment.

Q: Do I need to turn my Bluetooth on?

A: Yes. In order for the Kisha Umbrella to be connected to your smartphone you’ll need to turn your Bluetooth on.
